近年来,国内外学者对索绪尔符号学的二元结构特性进行了非常严厉的批评,认为它缺少第三项。至于第三项是什么,学术界却有不同的看法。通过分析索绪尔理论中的能指和所指,发现它们不同于皮尔斯的术语;通过分析皮尔斯理论的解释项,发现它其实隐含了符号本身的心理表征。两种分析表明,对索绪尔符号学二元结构特性的批评有失公允。而且,通过对两种符号理论的对比,发现索绪尔符号学与皮尔斯符号学具备理论的统一性特征。
Abstract：Recently,both at home and abroad,the dual structure of Saussurean semiology has been severely criticized for lacking the third item which is not unanimously designated.An analysis of Saussure's signifier and signified reveals that they differ from Peirce's terminologies.Also,an analysis of Peirce's interpretant brings to light the fact that it contains the psychological representation of representamen.The analyses jointly prove that the criticism of Saussure's dual structure is not justifiable.Besides,a comparison between Saussure's and Peirce's theories shows that they are coherent.
