俄罗斯电影《布谷鸟》表面看来是一部反战影片,其实它所隐含的深层意义远远不只于此。它引导我们思考的不只是战争的正义性与非正义性,战争给人民带来的苦难以及和平的可贵,而且是全人类的沟通问题、文化的融合问题。可以说,这是一部以战争为背景、其实意在别处的寓言性影片。创作者着意表现的不是交战双方的冲突,战争与和平的对立等问题,他真正要探索的是消除了国家与国家之间界限、种族与种族之间不平等之后,纯粹从"同是为人"的角度出发的人类和谐相处之道。

Russian film "Cuckoo" is an anti-war film apparently, but its meaning is far more than that. It does not only awake to think of the justice or injustice of the war, of the sufferings or precious peace in the war, it also wakes up to think of the problems of human communication and cultural integration. The "Cuckoo" is a war film as by emblem, but what the creators want to show is not the conflict between the two warring sides, not the opposition between war and peace, they want to explore how we harmoniously get along with each other when country boundaries and racial inequality would have been eliminated.
