在契诃夫的戏剧《海鸥》中,有对莎士比亚的《哈姆雷特》和莫泊桑《水上》的引述。这些引语暗示出作品之间存有深层的主题关联。通过对《海鸥》中《哈姆雷特》及《水上》主题元素的分析,本文试图对男主人公特列普列夫的悲剧性命运进行阐释。在对特列普列夫和哈姆雷特境遇进行比较分析的基础上,揭示出《哈姆雷特》在《海鸥》的喜剧意义构建中所发挥的重要作用。
Abstract：Quotations from Shakespeare's Hamlet and Maupassant's Afloat (Sur l'eau) occur in The Seagull. These quotations are clues to a fundamental thematic connection between The Seagull and Hamlet as well as The Seagull and Afloat. By exploring the themes of Hamlet and Afloat in The Seagull, the present article attempts to make an analysis of the tragic fate of Treplev in the play. Based on comparison of the Treplev situation and the Hamlet situation this paper reveals the essential role of Hamlet in making The Seagull a comedy.
